Govt proposes merger of Bank of Baroda, Dena and Vijaya Bank

The government Monday 17th September 2018, said state-owned Bank of Baroda, Vijaya Bank and Dena Bank will be merged to create the country’s third largest lender as part of efforts to revive credit and economic growth.

The merger of Bank of Baroda, Dena Bank and Vijaya Bank set to create India’s third-largest bank with a total business of more than ₹14.82 trillion.
